Charles always says everyone on earth is more observant than I am and he proved his point again when we were at La Concha beach. This is what happened: Unlike all beaches in other parts of the world, La Concha beach does not have a smooth and even surface or a slope down to the shore. What it has is many unseen ridges that make the beach unexpectedly high on some parts and surprisingly low on other parts. So, when the tides come in as they usually do in the evening, when beachgoers elsewhere move their belonging further back up onto the beach to keep them dry, beachgoers on La Concha would need to move their stuff where a sandbar has formed to stay dry . They would need to stay on that strip of sand with water behind them and ahead of them, a very strange thing to see and stranger image to capture. Seeing what happens on the beach every evening, I thought it would be a good idea to write a tip about it, but Charles thought otherwise. He said everyone would know and no one would need to be forewarned. I said I would never know, I could never tell unless things are made clear to me. He answered, “You just proved my point.” Well, my husband is right, I am not a very observant person, but I don’t think I am alone in this world. So, if you share my unobservant trait in personality and if you find yourself on La Concha beach in the evening, this tip is for you. Leave a Comment
