villeboy's General Tip
As it was so long time ago. I can only remember that it really was nice weather with lots of middleage tourists all over the place. Lava caves are still in my mind as a nice to see place, so I quess they must be worth to see.

In fact I didn't see much of the Island because I hardly left the appartment because I brought some work along... It was just for the sun... I am more sort of a traditionalist when talk is about Beaches... the sand has to be almost white, so I had some difficulties when the sand was black ;-))

Very recently there were maasive volcano eruption on Lanzarote (recently meaning 150years ago, geologically like right a moment ago) and there are quiet interesting bus tours through theses areas, covered with fine volcanic dust in many colors, making you feel like in the desert. You really miss something if you don't go there! Nothing of interest to -it was the first trip with my (then) girl-friend... :)
visited the Water park and it was wicked, had slides that were totally vertical and the canacarsi. Its a must to go there also visited the san dunes but once your on them you feel as though you are never going to get off them and when you do you end up on a nudist beach which is most definatley a bonus lol
Necessarily you have to take boat trip. It's wonderful thing. I took boat trip in Puerto Rico where a lot of companies offer trips at a wharf. During the trip you can prove a lot of entertainment. Of course you have to visit also Palmitos Park. It's very beautiful place when you can relax an enjoy nature with its flora and fauna of this climatic zone. There are parrot's show and house of butterflies, show of birds of prairie. It situated on valley in almost centre of island.

If surfing in Fuerteventura you will need to hire a 4wd jeep to get to the best surfing breaks. Dont be a fool and hire a car cause it's cheaper because the terrain you will need to negotiate is not very forgiving and is littered with dead cars everywhere. Also make sure you take plenty of water with you and good walking shoes incase you do break down. I miss the warm waters with their excellant surfing breaks and also the friendly people on the island.

Take in the scenery and the climate by sitting down on one of the terrasses. Order 'zumo de naranja' (fresh orange juice) and 'tortillas espagnol' (omelet). After that, go hiking! Take one of the many trails and enjoy the scenery and the weather. - zumo de naranga- the weather- the surprises!

El Hierro, the most remote, the smallest and the less developped island is a treasure to be discovered. Stay at El Parador and reconciliate yourself with the Earth and its energy, that you can feel everywhere, in the sea, the dramatic landscape...

Fuerteventura, the dessert-like neighbour island has much more to offer than large sandy beaches, turquoise waters and blue skies. Imagine being in a pristine beach with your sweetheart, with no one else but the sea breeze and the undescriptible colour of the water.
