GRANDES PLAYAS DUNES IN CORRALEJO -Fuerteventura
    4 more images

Favorite thing: Hie I'm Claudio and i'm italian but i have 15 y.o. experience of this island also because i have home there and also one little apartment for rent.. ihave two PERSONAL web sites ABOUT FUERTEVENTURA: www.cotillo.de & www.cotillo.net here i put in internet many fotos of this places
I SUGGEST THE NORTH SHORE FOR HOLIDAYS ALSO IF THE SUD IS VERY BEAUTIFULL
    NORTH:
Fuerteventura is one small island only 120 km from nord or sud top and large maximum 40 km
In Fuerte there are 80 km of WHITE sand beaches in all the island (140 bigs and smalls beaches)
tHE REST IS ROCKET AND VULCANIC cost .The best places for sand dunes is Corralejo and alls the Grandes Playas around .the best others beaches for my are: El cotillo an Maianicho .In the North. There are also nearest places interesting to visit like Lajares (10 minutes by drive car far from Corralejo)and villaverde with many vulcanic lands and you can see also the Cuevas (vulcanic caves) where you can found many different things about nature and also to view wilds animols also one eagle species .
    SUD:
In the sud very fine is Costa calma and Morro el Jable and one other part name La pared BUT in the sud of island.. the wind sometimes is strong!!
THERE ARE ALSO others PARTs AND BEACHES that you only visit by one 4x4 car like for example Playa de cofete Fuerte it is one very beautifull island!! i Suggest to stay minimum 2 weeks!! I LIKE MORE THE NORTH THAT SUD !!! bye Claudio (pls apologie my for english lenguage)

    Vega de Rio Palmas

Favorite thing: Whatever your level, beginner or expert, there is a wide range of off-road routes on Fuerteventura. If you are in search of steep trails and wild off-road routes you can find here. I visited Fuerteventura in Jenuary and February and the weather was not too hot for biking. There are some places where you can rental a bike. The price is 7€ for one day or 18 € for three days. You can rent a bike in Corralejo, Castillo and Janida, Costa Calma, Los Gorriones.

    Off street fountains

Favorite thing: Again like the shops, some of the Hotel entrances are Off road. This picture is taken out side of a hotel, safe because there is no traffic. Much nicer than pavemented streets with traffic rushing past.

    Miles of Endless Beauty

    by Nixter01 Written Feb 25, 2003

Favorite thing: It is an absolute MUST that anyone visiting this unspoilt island, must take a trip around the Whole of the island. The villages you find set back in the hills, and in the centre of Fuerteventura are amazing. The scenery is breath taking, you can not ever imagine that 2000ft up and half-way inland there are people living in such remote places. They are Very friendly, warm and extremely helpful, oyu just don't want to leave!

Fondest memory: My fondest memory of this beautiful place is the miles of golden sands, with its crystal clear waters, the tiny silver fish that swim through your feet as you stare down and the endless rugged lanscapes of the volcanoes that were once millions of years ago. I wish i could wake up to that view every morning, because its just heaven on earth.

    Jandia

Favorite thing: There are so many great places to see on the Island, its hard to choose, but it will have to be beaches, some great sandy beaches, right around the Island. And its not imported either. Well, Caleta de Fuste beach has been built using sand from other parts of the Island, but it wasn’t imported, I think.

Fondest memory: My fondest memory was booking the whole gym in our hotel on our honeymoon, and just being able to lock the door and hear people trying to get in. That was something else.

Fondest memory: I remember there being very little for a teenager to do, but we were right next door to the (then) only club on the island. We only went there once though, as the entertainment for us consisted of drinking the night away with others our age in a little thatched roofed bar whilst our parents were in the piano bar!

    Off road shopping

Favorite thing: In Calletta de Fuste some of the shops are off the road, by that I mean you have to go down steps to get to them, a nice safe way to shop, especially if you are shopping with children.
