Fishing is really good in Gran Canaria. In the winter you can catch big stingrays, tuna and wahoo and in the summer season (May until September) the billfish (blue and white marlin and spearfish) are plentiful!
The Barakuda Dos fishing boat in Puerto Escala, Puerto Rico is really good. It's a big catamaran. Go at about 3pm when the fishing boats get in to see who has caught what!
Equipment: You get food, drink, beer and equipment on the boat but don't forget your suncream unless you want to get really burnt!

The El Cabrón marine reserve was one of the best places we have ever dived! It is full of life, both in quantity and variety of species, and has some stunning underwater scenery. We saw Angelsharks, Barracudas, Rays, Octupus, Cuttlefish, Parrotfish, Damselfish and lots of colourful fish including glasseyes, wrasse and bream.
We dived with Davy Jones Diving, the nearest dive centre to the Reserve, who are also a PADI 5-star resort. Their guides really knew their way around the reserve and seemed to know dives that the other dive schools didn't do.
Equipment: We were able to hire all the equipment we needed from Davy Jones. Some other divers had taken their own and were on a cheaper 'tanks and weights' deal.

It is possible to dive at the cliffs near Puerto Mogan. I don#t know much about diving, but I know that clients of me enjoyed diving at Puerto Mogan very much.
