In all the brochures and all the west side is known as the sunny side of La Palma, and yes it does receive way more sun than the east side. So the tourist and all will think, nice sun, sand see, very cool. But what the brochures won't tell is that swimming on the west side will be extremely hard, cause the Atlantic will throw it's waves with great force against the shore.
So if you want to swim, you'll be off to the east side for a nice swim.

La Palma can be cheap, with meals and drinks for under 10euro's, but this deffenetly doesn't go for the few resort towns and other sea side atractions.
There you could end up looking at a menu and see fish for 7euo's, not bad at all you think. But the price is ONLY for the fish, the fries, rice salad, or whatever you get with it comes seperate on the bill, so you will pay more.
Unique Suggestions: If in doubt, just ask before you order.
Fun Alternatives: If you don't stay in one of those towns or have a car. just drive to a small town, where the food mostly is better anyway.
