As a volcanic island there are not much of sand beach here, so unless you are very early in the morning it will be crowded or else you can stay in your hotel pool, if you have one. Which is remind me, a good point to think of when you plan to visit this place.

Puerto de Mogan is different from the other cities and villages on Gran Canaria and well worth a visit, even if you live on the other side of the island. The city planning is made by an italian architect. You find no cars in the city centre, you have lots of bridges and channels giving you the feel of a Spanish Venice in small size. No buildings are higher than 3 floors and the flowers are beautiful.

This must be the most beautiful city in the south of Gran Canaria. It lies west of Puerto Rico, and is somethimes referred to as the Venice of Gran Canaria because of the canals.
Follow the highway to the west from Playa del Ingles or Puerto Rico. There are also organised boattrips that take you here from some of the other cities in the south.

This is a quiet and small place with two story buildings, and cafes and restaurants along the harbour.
It can be a bit expencive here, but if you just go a little bit away from the sea you will find small and very nice local restaurants. The atmosphere is much friendlier and the prices too. The thing to eat here is definetly fish, because of the many fishingboats that are here.
This is a place you should visit at least once.

It is a holiday small town and the promenade really look like this, full of restaurants and café’s where everyone hang around, have a drink or grab something to eat. Do not expect too much of it.
