It was very tasty and the price seemed reasonable for the hotel being in an upscale area next to Triana and a main boulevard
Favorite Dish: The fries and calamari were great tasting, with fries having lugs of garlic and parsely infused.

This Chinese buffet was so good that we went there 3 times and most of the times it was packed with customers. The ambience was lovely, soft Chinese music, lovely Chinese interior and a sea view of Playa de las Canteras. I would definitely go there again. Their motto is "Mas comida de la que te gustaria" but they have put up signs all over saying that by all means eat as much as you can - but ... do not waste! Which is a good reminder to people. Although you could eat as much as you wanted for only 6 euros, we saw incidence of people trying to find ways around not paying the bill. One man left his glasses on the table, apparantly to go out to smoke - and never returned :(
There is a restaurant by the same name on Shaftesbury avenue in London, so this might be a chain??
Favorite Dish: Everything was up to par.

If you like middle eastern food like a little bit spicy (but not hot like mexican) and home made style, I highly recommend El Cedro for a lunch or dinner. The restaurant at the second floor it has not a fancy but homey decoration. The service is very nice and the meal is very reasonably priced. For example today we had a family reunion of 13 people and paid 206€ +tip 10 %. We had 4-5 kind tapas and meat, rice, pita bread, desert, a lot of beer...
Favorite Dish: Humus
Eggplant puree (Berenjena pate)
Tabule (bulgur and tomate salad)
kibbeh( meat stuffed bulgur meat balls)
meat pastry
falafel
shish kebab

La Garriga is a delicatessen shop who makes wonderful tortilla sandwiches and many other styles as well . They have different style and a secret recipe for this tortilla sandwich it is so smooth and surprisingly not made from potatoe. The hours are really weird they open after 5 pm. There are few stores in the city one in Mesa y Lopez area, another is very closed to Parque San Telmo, another one closed to Las Arenas Shopping center in Las Canteras area.
Favorite Dish: Tortilla de la Garriga
Pata sandwich (Canarian style pig leg)

El Herreño is a very old Canarian restaurant which ocated in the old city district called Vegueta. The restaurant is very big and has a rustic design. You can sit at the bar (it will be cheaper) or in a table inside or outside. Try media racion (half a portion) of a few kind of tapas with vino tinto de la casa ( red house wine).
Favorite Dish: They have delicious "Pata de cochino asada" house made it is only made in the islands this style. Slowly cooked Pig leg in the oven they serve it carved in slices. Our few favorites are gambas al ajillo (shrimp with garlic sauce), callos ( tripe with tomate sauce), cerdo frito (fried pork) papas arrugadas con mojo, (shrinked canarian potatoes with mojo sauce) and house wine is very good.
