If your on a budget take a block of lard to use as sun screen.it's a good sun block.For best results use british lard. Leave a Comment

it get really warm here especially in the summer so loads of sunblock and insect repellant, also don't leave food lying around your room as it can attract unwanted guests.
Light shorts, bathing gear and light trousers/dresses at night time.

A large dufle with wheels is easy to pack and manouvre - Don't forget the children!
You can travel light with some cotton mix clothing, sandals flipflops amd trainers. Take a couple of sweaters if you are travelling to the more mountainous regions.

If going to Fuerteventura, take lots of warm clothes as it can be very windy, particularly at night. However, don't be misled by the winds during the day, use plenty of suncream.

Just bring your summer clothes when you go somewhere between May and September. Bring an extra sweater and a pair long trousers during the rest of the year. Basically the weather will be fine. The great thing on being on an island is that it never seems too hot, because there's always a very pleasany sea breeze. This is also the tricky thing: You can get sunburn easily and you won't notice it. Just look at the many red English tourists for proof. (no offense, just kidding). Something strong,light and lockable are the best kind of bags for the Canaries.
Light footwear e.g trainers ,canvas shoes etc Clothing wise bring cotton,silk,polyester,a new bikini and lots of shorts and t-shirts.
Tcp (always use to rinse your teeth after brushing) Avoid spanish water at all costs. Bandage,plasters,painkillers,immodioum and stomach remedies.
Bring your own film and always bring a 2 pronged adaptor to recharge any thing. You will also need your battery charger.
A hairdryer,your own towels as hotel towels are not allowed on the beach and lots of elastics and bubble wrap to bring your alcohol home in your suitcase.

Always take a padlockable case just for your own security.Try to get a body garment to. These are for holding money ,valuables and passports. Always keep these things out of sight.
Take mostly light airy clothing and shoes. For nights out bring a jacket.When the sun goes down it can feel quite cold.If you are a serious clubber belly tops and hot pants are advisable.
Always carry TCP,DETOL and BAndages. Even carry your own light medication as they chemists are very expensive. A srip of ten asparin will cost £15+.
Bring a battery cahrger and re-chargeables. Remember that the plugs and sockets are different so bring an adapter too.
For the beach you must bring your own towels as the hotels and apartments don't allow you to remove theirs.
Never use insect repellant as it attracts insects. Bring a really good conditioner for your hair as the sun and hard water will dry your hair really badly. Try and get travel wash also, as you will need to rinse your underwear from time to time. Leave a Comment
