  • GOLF DE BANDAMA

There is a golf restort close to the city, Golf de Bandama. It was made in the beginning of the 1900's and was actually the first golf-resort in Spain. The golf resort is in one of the most attractive natural settings of the island. Close to the crater of an ancient volcano, Caldera de Bandama.

  • TAI CHI

In the city is a small park with a fountain, and every week you can come here to do Tai Chi with other people. Or just watch it if you prefer that... :) I haven't tried it yet but will definetly check it out when I move there. The city is very small, charming and tranquil, so I can imagine that it is a great setting for doing Tai Chi.

Santa Brigida lies about 500 metres above sea level, and is only a 10 min drive from Las Palmas. It is a small and beautiful city, and one of the most exclusive residential areas around Las Palmas. The street winds through eucalyptus threes and beautiful villas. • SANTA BRIGIDA

I love this little place! It's so different than many of the other cities on the island. It's really not so many historical buildings, museums or something here. But the atmosphere of the city is so nice. It's bigger than the small villages and has many restaurants and bars to offer. Still it is smaller, quieter and more charming than some of the...

  • THE MARKET

Like most of the cities here in Gran Canaria, Santa Brigida has it's own weekly market and it's held every sunday. Not as good as the one in Teror but still worth a visit if you are nearby.Buy freshly picked vegetables, flowers or local crafts. Enjoy the buzzing atmosphere of the market. Or do as the locals; just hang around and talk with other...

  • SHOPPINGCENTRE

Santa Brigida has for a long time been one of the few big cities on the island to don't have a big shoppingcentre. The canarians loves their centro commerciales, and the island is one of the places in the world with most shoppingcentres per inhabitant. So of course Santa Brigida has to have a centre too. The construction has started, and it is...

Take a walk in the streets of Santa Brigida and enjoy the many beautiful buildings and plazas. Relax on a streetside cafe and watch the people passing by. Walk through the lovely park and soak up the nice atmosphere. Enjoy the marvellous nature surrounding the city. Or just head up the hills and knock on my door... ;)

  • Internetcafees

There are two internetcafees in the middle of the city; Cyber and Zona mod. They both charge 1,20 euro pr hour and they are in the same street; the second street from where they are constructing the shoppingcenter.Be aware that they both close during siesta, and they open sometime between 15 and 17.

  • One day...

In and around Santa Brigida you can find a lot of great villas and buildings. Like this one on the picture. It's an old abandoned house, completely surrounded by the forest. One day I will buy this house and renovate it. And just like Colombus I will use Gran Canaria as a base for my travels around the world. One day...
