Any supermarket, look for QUESO AHUMADO: Buy local cheese (made in the Canary Islands)
Only in the stores and supermarkets on the Canary Islands have I found different types of "QUESO AHUMADO". Don't be disturbed, this is goat cheese, but very mild. Not at all harsh as French goat cheese. It comes in a variations, just smoked, with pepper etc. I have not found it in Spain on the mainland. I always took several kilos of this cheese home with me. Sorry I can't find the photos any more. But available in any supermarket at least in Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Don't buy it at the airport, 3 times more expensive.

"QUESO AHUMADO".

Very inexpensive

    Atlantico: Shopping Malls
This is a new shopping mall. Located in Vecendario which is only 15 minutes from Maspalomas. Has new names including Zara, Jack & Jones, Vera Moda, Mango and others. Its actually quite cheap and especially over the christmas month. If you go to the Canary Islands to shop, which you really shouldnt, go there.

Latest fashion, music and dvd, home appliances, pets and more. Also has a cinema and few restaurants. A McDonalds is both inside the mall and one is outside.

Low prices although they are simular to those in the city.

    C.C Yumbo: Shopping Malls
This must be the biggest shopping center in Maspalmos although its not that much there. They have plenty of restaurants and some shops but nothing that special. If you are like me and you like to shop and you are aged 18-28 there is nothing there for you. The prices are horrible high as well so you might want to concider to buy somewhere else. Dont let those people who own the shop fool you in. They are used to the tourists and speak some words in many languages including Icelandic. But if you are not interested just walk away!

    Not recommanded to shop in.

High prices. Never buy anything there without comparing to other shops.

    Cita: Shopping Malls
We went there one day because we had nothing to do. The front of the building is the only good thing about it. It features all of those famous landmarks like Big Ben, The Eiffel Tower and more. Inside is just like everywhere else. Nothing to buy.

    The same as everywhere else.

    Kasbah: Shopping malls
Kasbah is a small but nice shopping Center. Not too many shops but you can walk around. Good restaurant there is Toro Negro.

You can not find that many things there. Mostly electronics and restaurants.

    Metro: Shopping malls
Metro is a tiny shopping center right next to Kasbah and Plaza. I went there late at night so not many things were open. But its always the same stuff anyways.

Nothing special. Has what everyone else have.

    San Fernando: Shopping malls
This is the spanish district and I recommand that you shop there instead of places like Yumbo. The prices vary but are usually lower then anywhere else. The difference can be up to 50%! Its worth it to take a look there. The merchants there will also not cheat on you, what you see is what you get and prices are always displayed.

    Everything.

    Lower then anywhere else

    The Local Market: Markets
On Wednesdays and Saturdays they have a market in Maspalomas. You can get some good bargains there so do go there. If you dont need to go there, why not just go for the amusement!

    Everything!

    As little as you want!
