I surfed the following:Gran Caneria (Las Palmas)- Punta de las Monjas(4ft)Tenerife - nowhere - flat during my visitFuerteventura(Corelejo) - Cotillo Beach(4ft), The Bubble(8ft), Lanzarote - La Santa(4ft) and Playa Famara(3ft) - north side of island Shortboards are the best best - waves (certainly in Fuerteventura) are fast and longboards probably won't cut it.
It's worth checking if the local Volley Ball team has a game.In 2005 we went to see a game where Tenerife played against Malaga. We were blown away at how high this guy jumped!
Los Cristianos is a great place to play Beach Volley. Even the European pros use the beach for training during winter.
