 pfsmalo Says:  Just 3 kms out from Potes, on the same road that takes you to Fuente De lies the Santo Toribio monastery, one of the 5 holy sites of Christianity. Thought to have been constructed in the 8th century, it holds one of the largest pieces of Christ's Cross, the Lignum Crucis....

 pfsmalo Says:  Nice intimate feel to this restaurant situated in one of the old passages in the Barrio Viejo, 150 metres from the hotel Casa Cayo. The main entrance is through a bar and the restaurant is on the first floor. I had a fish, that I'd never heard of, couldn't even begin to... 

 enjoytravelling Says:  This restaurant is located in the main street of Potes, with views to the river and the main bridge crossing the village. The local food is very good and tasty and the service is fast and efficient. Selection of local cheeses (Liebana's cheeses) 

 pfsmalo Says:  Once on top of the teleferico at Fuente De there is a myriad of trails to take, even all the way back down to the bottom (13.5 kms) if you want. We just took one of the shorter there and back hikes to the Hotel/Refuge Avila. This 7 kms round trip takes in some fine scenery,...
