Sobaos and quesadas are typical pastry specialities from Cantabria which have become well known all across Spain. They are original from the Pas Valley but available in every bakery or gourmet shop.
Sobaos pasiegos are thick buttery biscuits which come wrapped in a piece of paper and are very popular for breakfast or for the merienda, with a glass of milk or hot chocolate.
Quesadas pasiegas are a kind of cheesepie with cinammon flavor.
