%cr%bMercado De Este in the evening.%c* by nhcram We found this place by accident! It was great to see families enjoying the company of friends and family chatting , drinking coffee and playing with the chidren. Such a wonderful place to people watch. The coffee is good too. There are tapas and a few individual shops selling coffee, oil, cheese and pasta. Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and DrinkingAddress: C/ Bailen, s/n 39007 Santander

Gran Casino by nhcram The Gran Casino was one of the first buildings to be constructed near Santander's beaches in El Sardinero. The casino was closed during Francos dictatorship but in 1978 following Franco's death the Casino was completely overhauled and reopened. It is a grand place and on offer are Black Jack Poker and fruit machines.

Patatas bravas by milugares A very popular place where you can eat something when you go out at night. The most famous are the "patatas bravas" (potatoes with tomato sauce) and alioli, but there are also other tapas and sandwiches.

by wiegandg Puerto Chico: the old town of Santander. There is no special place to mention: there are lots of discos, pubs, restaurants and places to meet. The Spanish way to celebrate: Never go there before 11 PM, all the places are open until morning light !! the people change the location every 30 minutes, so you meet a lot of people!
no special dresscode, there are few trendy bars, but worry too much about elegant clothing in Spain Be careful the places can be messy. Leave a Comment Theme: TheaterDirections: Puerto Chico. After hour at the beaches.

by DanielF Nightlife is concentrated in the Cañadío area (downtown). You will mostly find bars and pubs which catter for different kinds of crowd. If the weather is nice, most people will have their drinks on the street. In Summer the Sardinero district also sees some activity, especially around the casino, but the crowd tends to be older.
