Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear:
Trendy beachwear is an essential item in the luggage of any visitor to Santander. Top-less is common in all the beaches, although La Concha and the First of El Sardinero tend to be more conservative. Naturist beaches are located out of the city, in El Puntal, Langre and the Liencres area.
Although the weather is rainnier in Santander than in most of Spain, there are sunny days all year round and the temperature very rarely falls below freezing level, so it is pleasant to go to the beach at any time of the year, be it just to take a long, solitary stroll.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Yes. It rains in Santander. Ever wondered why the region is so green ? Bring an umbrella. Chances are you will use it!Also, if you go to the interior of the region, be aware of the mosquitos. Cantabria is humid in summer. Mosquitos love that. By the coast mosquitos are less frequent.
