Very nice little Chinese place run by an elderly Filipino couple who speak a little English and Spanish. Prices are most reasonable, and it was great to be able to get some normal food instead of the pork laden Spanish dishes I had been subsisting on.
Favorite Dish: The thick noodles (whatever they're called) were very good, as was the Kung Pao Chicken, Shrimp, etc. Never had a bad dish, and I ate there many times.

MESON DE LOS VILLA (Santillana)
And old palace, now a medium and not expensive restaurant. They have a touristic menu for about 8 US $. Located at the entrance of the town, in Santo Domingo Street. You can have lunch inside (reservations recommended) or at its wonderful quiet patio, all surrounded by old green trees.

There are a lot of great Fish and Seafood restaurants
near the town hall and Paseo Pereda. One of my favourites is Casa San Miguel, where you get a great
choice of dishes, like Lubina a la plancha, gambas al ajillo or Salpicon. Try also the Tapa-bars.
Favorite Dish: All kinds of fresh fish and seafood. Try the Rioja-wines or sherries. The Different sorts of cheese and meat are excellent: try queso manchego or Chorizo.
My favorite racion: Bacalao con tomate. Sorry, I don´t know the translations in English.

Nice and light bright restaurant and bar. Cheap and good for drinks (beer, wine, coffee). Friendly.
Food looked good too.

This bar as I remember is no-smoking. That is a good thing in itself. Nor was it dear. I had a couple of coffees and a beer, the staff were friendly. The food looked good but I had already eaten.

Lots of good restaurants offering great seafood. The picture was taken in Llanes but we had the best meal in a restaurant in Vidiago.
