This cathedral is lovely. It is not dripping in gold with loads of expensive pictures and artifacts. it is simple with a few special touches. The altar was beautifully decorated and it was very peaceful in here.

The cathedral had really nice cloisters. It was a very popular spot for newly weds . . . while we were there about three newly married couples arrived to have their photos taken. They seemed to have been married elsewhere and come just for pictures.

Ahora puedes darte un paseo gratis por Santander en bicicleta . Simplemente presentando el DNI o el pasaporte te prestan una bici por tres o cuatro horas .
Las puedes coger en lo Jardines de Pereda (junto al muelle del ferry) , en la Magdalena y en el Sardinero , junto al hotel Río y luego las dejas indistintamente en cualquiera de estos sitios

Finally managed to get a reasonable picture of the post office building by creeping up behind it on the cathedral steps. Managed to get the wind at my back to stop rain getting on the camera.
