At the entrance to the harbor there's a grand medieval fort. If you close your eyes you can imagine the galleons entering the harbor under its watchful eye. The many windows surely provided ample opportunity for soldiers to guard the harbor, town, and perhaps, the Corinthian Leather.
Thieves can never get enough of that stuff.

Favorite thing: Juan de la Cosa, Columbus's map-maker, was from Santoña. I felt it only appropriate to show him some respect.
