The fastest way to reach Somo and El Puntal are the small boats called "Los Reginas", that you can catch at Santander's old quay, by the palacete del Embarcadero.
The ride is very enjoyable, as the waters of the bay are usually calm and the sights are always awesome. Besides, boat riders seem to be very skillful. At least, this one managed to steer all the way back to Santander with only his feet.
