 El_Sueco Says:  Here is a picture of the church nave.The church - full name: Iglesia de San Juan Bautista Renacentista - is from the 16th century. 

 El_Sueco Says:  On this church from the XII century - formerly Iglesia de San Gil - is now the museum of religious art.The museum, which was inaugerated in 1991, has a entry fee of something around 2 euro(?), is relatively small. But beside the religious art there is also an unexpected rich... 

 El_Sueco Says:  Beautiful church, now a museum. Unfortunately closed at our visit. 

 El_Sueco Says:  Plaza España is just outside the Ayuntamiento. In the background you can see Iglesia de San Juan. 

 El_Sueco Says:  The sign on the door says "Juzgado de Paz" (Justice of the Peace), but the building has all the resemblance of a Ayuntamiento. Perhaps a combined service? 

 El_Sueco Says:  This have been (is?) a house of the upper class, it has the coat-of-arms over the portal. Such a house is called "Casa Señorial". 

 El_Sueco Says:  From Iglesia de Santa Maria to Iglesia de la Trinidad there is a row of stone pillars. It had some significance, which I -sorrow to say- did not write down. 

 El_Sueco Says:  The church Santa Maria has the burial ground outside the church on the "city side". This view was taken from the Castillo Roquero. Man, we are high up! 

 El_Sueco Says:  At Plaza San Gil, just near the Iglesia San Gil, there is this water source. If it has served as drinking water, for washing cloths or just for the horses, I do not know. 

 El_Sueco Says:  On the way from the village up to Castillo Roquero there is the bull fighting arena. 

 El_Sueco Says:  Here is a view on the village with Iglesia del San Juan, seen from the Castillo Roquero. 

 El_Sueco Says:  Also in this village you can see supporting pillars. This row is encountered at Plaza de trigo and gives an example how the old and the new culture have to live together. 

 El_Sueco Says:  One of the portals through the city wall, this one is called Arco de la Virgen, and is best used by pedestrians.You can see a image of Santa María on top over the portal. 

 El_Sueco Says:  One of the portals where you can pass through the city wall. The city wall is not complete, most of the city is lying outside.This portal is situated just "above" the museum of San Gil. 

 El_Sueco Says:  This portal has the name Arco Arrebatacapas, which means somethings that tears the hat from the head, perhaps the answer is blowing in the wind?
