this is also wine country.
Favorite thing: la mancha has a big wine production and makes some very tasty wine.
i popped by a couple of wineries along the way and had a taste of their products.
since there are few tourists it's not that common that they get foreign visitors, but they were very welcoming to me when i popped in to say hello.Related to:

good bike shop in albacete.
Favorite thing: my bicycle computer broke down in albacete and i had to get a replacement.
i found a very good bike shop where i got a new computer for a very cheap price (13 euros).
the owner of the shop installed the computer for me too and was generally very cheerful and helpful.
very good place if you need spare parts for your bike.
the name of the place is bicicletas moreno and it's located on a street called calle doctor ferran.Related to:

Favorite thing: Blessed by the sun, cereal fields turn gold in a question of weeks. The heat, the bright light and the deafening sound of cicadas are symptons of real summer that I can hardly experience in Belgium.
Favorite thing: The management of the water resources in this arid land is essential. Reservoirs provide electricity, water for irrigation and even tourist developments on the lake shores.
This is an aerial view of a reservoir on the river Tagus. Due to its large extension, it is also known as the "Sea of Castille".
Rivers and lakes
Favorite thing: Although La Mancha (The Stain) comes from an Arab expression meaning waterless, the fact is that there is plenty of water in Castille-La Mancha. Three of the main Iberian rivers are born and cross the region: the Tagus, Guadiana and Jucar, as well as their main tributaries.
Besides, a number of lakes and seasonal lagoons provide excellent resting areas for migrating birds during the colder months and become then a favourite destination of birdwatchers.
Favorite thing: Tourist Office

Favorite thing: Whilst in Castilla-La Mancha don't forget to try some of their famous local products:
1. Read Don Quioxte
2. Manchego cheese
3. Red Wine
Favorite thing: Poppies are opportunistic plants that can grow in the most unsuspected places. Unlike the saying goes, they do not only belong to rural environments.
Favorite thing: An explosion of different shades of green pursue the nude reddish soils of winter. Hard to resist the temptation to let yourself drop onto those soft-looking fields!
Favorite thing: The plain of La Mancha is chromatically fascinating all around the year: the crops and the earth compose a multicoloured mosaic, as visually appealling from the ground as well from the air.
Favorite thing: During Spring time there is a explosion of colours in the Castilian fields. Poppies seem to grow everywhere and turn the landscape into a vivid red.
