Bizcochos Borrachos are the local sweet delicacy (dulce), which can be found across the pastelerías in the town.

They are served (and wrapped) individually, and are like small pieces of sponge cake completely soaked in alcohol... hence the name borracho (drunk!)

We tried these in two different places, buying a box (about a dozen bizcochos for 3,90€) in one pastelería and testing them out with a hot chocolate in a café... the ultimate test :D

Information on the places we visited to be added in separate tips.

A box full of sweet delights! They are so moist they are wrapped individually!!

Guadalajara Local Customs

The Osborn Bull was originally made in 1956 as an advertisment for the Osborne Veterano Brandy. There are about 100 bulls placed along the highways.
These great bulls are protected by a Supreme Court decision that in 1997 were in favour for its use, although no advertisment is allowed along the roads.
The Osborn bulls, that have no sign of its origin, have been taken to the hearts of the spaniards and they now serve more as a symbol for Spain than a brandy symbol.
