All right, all right, all those little, cosy shops where you can buy a bread and some chorizo and get to talk with the local people are great, but sometimes you just need a big, I mean a HUGE supermarket. You will find it in Burgos: the Alcampo ( in France better known as Auchan).
At the end :-( of our holiday we always buy a lot of delicious things so we can enjoy Spain a little bit in the cold winter months in Holland.
Great souvenirs are wine (Rioja red wine and Navarra Rosé), sausages (chorizo), olive oil and licor (much much cheaper than in Holland, hey what can I say I'm still a Dutch girl ;-))
Favorite thing: The Colegiata of St.Cosme & St.Damian is the main church there, a place full of history, a gothic church that was before a romanic one, with a beautiful choir and organ pipe.
