Airports

by DanielF

There are several regional airports in Castile and Leon. The only one that offers international connexions is the one at Valladolid, which additionally, is connected to Madrid by high speed train (also stopping in Segovia). As usual, a car is mandatory for visiting the remotest towns and the natural areas.

From train station to the Alcazar

by mitchimitch

From the train station, one can take the bus to the Aqueduct. However, if you are in a hurry like I was when I went there, I took the taxi from the train station to the Alcazar instead. The aqueduct is in the base of the hill where the Alcazar stands and I think it's logical to go to the Alcazar first then walk the way down to the Cathedral and the Aqueduct. Metered taxi only charges around 4EUR.

La Sepulvedana

To get to and from Segovia from Madrid, take the La Sepulvedana bus from the Madrid Florida station. It takes about an hour and 15 minutes to get to Segovia. First trip leaves Madrid at 6:30 am. Costs EUR6 one way. For more info, please check out their website below.
