    The Plaza Mayor is the heart of the old city center. Its a very beautiful big square. The buildings are all renovated and they house several shops, restaurants and cafes. In wintertime you can even go iceskating at the Plaza Mayor.

    Valladolid is placed in a wine producing area. This includes the red wines of Ribera de Duero (perhaps the best ones of the world, with permission of Rioja ones) and Medina, the white ones of Rueda, and the pink ones of Cigales.

    You can't come, and not tasting them.

    This museum opened in 2003. The building is very modern and a symbol of the Valladolid of today. Although the building was very special, I found the museum itself rather dissapointing. I shouldn't recommend to visit it, just go and have a look at the building.

    Here is another example of the beautiful buildings of Valladolid. Especially at night when the building is covered with light its very special.

    This church is also the museum of easter. It was built at the end of the XVI century during the time of greater economic and social splendor of the city. It was built according to the plans of Felipe of the Cajiga. Nowadays the rich histórico artistico patrimony of the riosecana Easter can be seen here.

    This is a really nice parc. Campo Grande means great field. It has lots of statues. You can see also a variety of animals in the park like paecocks, squirrels etc. On sunday afternoon its a real attraction. You can go with a boat on the pond or just having a drink or having a nice walk.

    The museum opened in 1965 and is located in the burial chapels of the cathedral. The collection has pieces of famous artists like, Gregorio Fernandez, Juan Picardo etc. The entrance is free.

    Although Valladolid is not located at the coastline, it has a real white sandy beach. It is located at the river Pisuerga. I suppose in summer this must be a very nice place to go to. In Antwerp were I live whe have something simular, but than at the river Schelde. Sint Annabeach

    Go for a boattrip on the Pisuerga river and see all the famous bridges of Valladolid. The river is not very deep, thats why they use a boat like on the Mississippi river.
