Cervantes' House by RussellHadd Cervantes' House is tucked away between Plaza Zorilla and Plaza Madrid. It's not very big, consisting of around five small rooms, but is free to enter on Sundays. It has a small court yard immediately in front of the entrance and a small garden in front of this. The interior atempts to recreate what the house might have looked like when Cervantes and his family lived there. Leave a Comment Address: Entered via Calle Miguel Iscar or Calle RastroDirections: Between Plaza Zorilla and Plaza Madrid

by juzz In my opinion this is the most beautiful part of Valladolid. Plaza Mayor is the central square full of bars shop and life. I found this funny site where you can have a look around in the square moving a webcam and zooming it, enjoy: http://www.asomateavalladolid.com/in/servicios/index.asp?por=no&men1=18&men2=21&men3=31&p3=WEBCAMS&con=webcams.asp Address: Plaza Mayor, of course!Directions: It's the very centre of the town. From the train or bus station walk across compo grande and take the most crowded street, it will bring you in Plaza Mayor

by lbhspatriot Once a 17th-century Dominican monastery, built by Fray Juan de Torquemada between 1445 and 1468 the San Pablo is very impressive church, with Gothic facade, statues and vividly decorated towers. .

by lbhspatriot The House-Museum is dedicated to the author of Don Juan Tenorio, the Spanish Romantic poet José Zorrilla. The museum contains documents, manuscripts, furniture and personal mementos of the poet, donated by his widow. The two-storey house has a lovely garden, and its rooms (kitchen, living room, study, etc.) are carefully decorated to reproduce the typical style of the Romantic Era.

by lbhspatriot The Plaza Mayor (the Main Square) is centrally located in city and one of the main and most attractive meeting places in Valladolid. The town hall is overlooking the square and tourist might find there many restaurants and shops. It is truly the heart of the city so a must do when in Valladolid.
