All along I've been saying to visit the Fiesta grounds. It's here where you will see the various cultural activities of the region of Castilla (of which Valladolid is the capital). At various points in its history Valladolid was the capital of the kingdom of Spain (or Castilla y Leon to be technically correct).

Spanish National Sculpture Museum is placed in a XV century palace of the city. The most important museum of the country in this genre, it lodges sculptures from 13th to 18th centuries, with special emphasis in Castilian religious school.

Once a 17th-century Dominican monastery, built by Fray Juan de Torquemada between 1445 and 1468 the San Pablo is very impressive church, with Gothic facade, statues and vividly decorated towers.

This theater is a very beautiful building. It is worthwhile to pay it a visit.

Like in every Spanish city, Valladolid has a bullfight arena. I've never been to one, but it is a part of the Spanish culture and thats why it is included on this page.

The museum opened in 1965 and is located in the burial chapels of the cathedral. The collection has pieces of famous artists like, Gregorio Fernandez, Juan Picardo etc. The entrance is free.

In 1817 the famous poet and romantic dramatist Jose Zorilla was born here. He died in 1893 in Madrid. The entrance to the museum is free.

The first church dates from 1177. The tower was added in the XIII century. It became a gothic church in the XIV century. In 1897 it became a national monument.
