Airport outta town

Ryanair now do cheap flights to here which is great but the airport itself is outside of the town. As soon as you get off the plane there is a booth that says tickets- three euros for a bus which brings you directly to the awful bus station( which is also outside of the city centre). Try to get to it as fast as you can cuz if the luggage bit is filled they won't let you on!

Fun Alternatives: If you can't be bothered rushing for the bus- get a taxi to wherever you want in the city centre for 15 Euro approx.

Boredom in the bus station

If you can avoid a wait in this station -do it- it's is the most boring bus station in Spain- I think! However there is a cafe with a very friendly waiter but it still bores you stiff!

Unique Suggestions: Bring a great book, go to pizza hut around the corner or better still go to the sex shop across the road- never went myself but heard it was fun!

School of Valladolid

The name 'School of Valladolid' is used to describe a special style of castle building, used in the Duero valley in the second half of 15th century, and following the model given by king Enrique IV in his reforms for the royal castles of Medina del Campo, Portillo & Segovia.

Unique Suggestions: From Salamanca we took the raod to Valladolid and we got to Olmedo, we took a very old road until Peñafiel visiting all the castles, just great!

Don't forget to pay attention when you
park your car. The local authorities seem
to be very keen on writing tickets.

It's small money to avoid a lot of trouble.

The main tourist trap in the city is the time schedules. Many museums, monuments ... open few hours every day. If you want to visit some of them, check first when it is opened.
