by belgianchocolate Thank God there is 'ryanair'. I wouldn't be able to fly as much if it wasn't for this company. Ok , space for my legs are a bit on the short site , but I also had that paying 1000 euro for a seat. 'Ryanair' hasn't got a connection from all their airports. Very limited at the moment. We came from 'Brussels-Charleroi' airport. The airport in Valladolid is located only 11 km from the city center. Very convenient. Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

by belgianchocolate Valladolid has got a beautifull trainstation. ' Estacion del Norte'. Build in 1891. If you are not going to take the train and your passing by....have a look inside. The hall has a beautifull ceiling. Valladolid houses the national repair workhouse for trains. It has excellent connections with other cities.. but you will have to check on the houres. (In Belgium we are used to have a train every hour) Leave a Comment Theme: Train

by belgianchocolate Valladolid is rather small , or better everything is reachable within an half an hour walk. Specially if you got beautifull legs like me. ;-) But if your tired there are a few taxi stations. Calle San José (little street near the busstation) That one was right behind our hotel and we took a taxi here to the airport. About 11km , we paid 15 euro. But I think that is a fixed price. Other Taxis can be found at -Plaza Zorilla -Plaza Poniente -the train station.... Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by micas_pt If you arrive in Valladolid by car I would advise you to park your car and walk around. As with other big cities, you may loose some time on the traffic. In Plaza Mayor there is a parking space (underground) and it costs (March 2004) €1/hour or €12/ day. I think this is a good location to explore the city walking. There are also other parking spaces - such as Plaza de Espana - but I am not aware of their fees. Anyway, parking are well signalised all over city. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Recently RyanAir have started flying to Valladolid. It is worth being aware that the airport is called Villanubla which loosely translated means Cloudy/Foggy Town. Occasionally the airport is affected by just such problems and to my knowledge there is currently no fog assisted landing equipment installed there. So check your flights before leaving home. Valladolid train station by benidormone Valladolid train station gives you acces to other parts of the region, Spain or even to Portugal. Its easy to go to Salamanca or Burgos, the journey however takes almost two hours. Check out the timetables, because there are not so many trains running. Leave a Comment

Airport Map by -deja.Ismael Valladolid has an international airport (Villanubla), with conections to London, Paris, Lisbon & Brussels. There are also several highways, connecting the city with Madrid (around 2 hours trip), France (via Basque Region), Portugal (in construction) Train line goes North-South. It could serve to visit Palencia (around 40 minutes trip), Medina del Campo (around 20 minutes), Segovia (30 minutes) or Madrid (around 1 hour). There is also a local bus company; the bus may be a good choice for medium/long trips, but, in my opinion, car is the best choice to visit the most nearby places. There is an annual motorcycle meeting in the surroundings of Valladolid (Tordesillas-Boecillo), which is considered the biggest one in Europe. Theme: Other
