Situated 401m on the sea level, between the towns of Argentona and Cabrera, and visible since lots of places of the region, are the ruins of the Burriach Castle. First mention to this building dates from 1017, when the countess Ermessenda give it to his son, Ramon Berenguer I. First was known as "Sant Viçenc Castle", but in 1313 it change his name to the actual one.
Around the XVIII century it was definitively abandoned, and nowadays is just a place to walk and have great views.
Something curious is for the people of the town, this castle is uses like a improvisated barometer: "Boira a Burriach, pluja aviat" (Fog in Burriach, rain soon).
