It is the main act of the May Festivities in Badalona. Sant Anastasi (11th may) is the saint patron of Badalona. The legend says that S. Anastasi, a roman soldier, was tempted by the devil who wanted to test his new faith. That's why people from Badalona the night of the 10th may burn a "little" devil of 9metres built on the beach. I don't know why but usually it rains during all day (i mean 10th may) and people are always a little worried, but at the end it stops in the afternoon and the devil is ok to be burned at night :-))
