Favorite thing: Barcelona is Gaudì, casa Btalo' is very central and easy to reach, not far from Placa Catalunya, I do not reccommend to enter as you can visit just the first floor and it's nothing special.
okay, i took a lot of pictures....
Believe it or not, these helmeted, warrior-looking sculptures were what influenced George Lucas to create the Darth Vader character for the Star Wars trilogy.
Favorite thing: This is the inside of the museum, near the entryway. The whole thing is tiled in unbelievable color and form.
Favorite thing: Casa Mila This apartment building is one of Antoni Gaudi most famous works. it is also called 'La Pedrera'or 'Stone Quarry'.
Parque Guell, Sagrada Familia Catedral, Las Ramblas
Fondest memory: walking the tower to the top of the Sagrada Familia...what a view of the city! The nightlife is also crazy, these people know how to party!
Visit all the Gaudi masterpieces: Park Guell, Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, Casa Mila.
Here is: Park Guell. Looks like it was made from Gingerbread
'La Pedrera'or Casa Milà is an appartement building. Waves of stone are decorated with iron work resembling clinging algae.
The chimnies on the roof have such scary forms to be called 'scarewitches'.
Favorite thing: Our first impact with one of Gaudì's buildings. Casa Batlló like most of his work seems to jump out of a fairytale book.
From the roof of 'La Pedrera'
you can see in the skyline the most important building in Barcelona: 'LA SAGRADA FAMÍLIA', another incredible place, the dream of Gaudí.
This is another picture from
'LA PEDRERA', one of my favourites places in Barcelona. Situated in the center of the city, near the Plaça de Catalunya where starts 'LES RAMBLES'.
Favorite thing: GAUDÍ, of course. the most popular face of the city. Every monument, every place surrounded for lots of tourist, many of them japanese...
Look at House of Bones, by Gaudi again.
Fondest memory: Take a walk from Casa Mila to the House of Bones, another of Gaudi's architecture. Simply beautiful.
Visit Casa Mila (Caixa Catalunya Cultural Centre).
Fondest memory: At the Cultural Centre, you have got to get up to the rooftop. These beautiful structures are actually chimneys, but not in use.
