Favorite thing:
Look at the Hensel and Gretel Cottages at Parc Guell.
Fondest memory:
Return to your childhood fantasy of visiting a Cottage made of candies and other goodies. It certainly look very tasty. These are actually souvenir shops.
Favorite thing:
Visit Park Guell, another unfinished work by Gaudi.
Fondest memory:
Spend a morning at Park Guell, another project undertaken by Antonio Gaudi. Like the Sagrada Familia, this residential project is incomplete and has now been converted to a park. Take a seat and just people watch on one of the beautiful mosaic seats.
Favorite thing:
Visit Parc Guell, Guadi's work at it's most impressive. The park was originally to have been a housing development but it all went wrong and the money ran out so it became a park for the people.
The colour and shapes are out of this world, not a straight line anywhere.
Fondest memory:
We arrived in Barcelona on a Sunday afternoon and La Ramblas was packed with people. All types of street performers were set up, busking for money. On a huge round-a-bout in the centre of Barcelona a band was set up busking and hundreds of people were gathered around, dancing to the music. To see people joining in and dancing in the street was just amazing and says a lot about the spirit of the spanish people, they like to have fun.
Favorite thing: See the Parc Guell, designed by Gaudi and easy to get to on one of the tourist buses that stop at all the major tourist sites. On the day that we were there a 'busker' was playing violin in an colonnaded area - the acoustics were fantastic.
Favorite thing:
Park guel.
Another great Gaudi attraction. dont make my mistake!
goto this garden by vellcarca metro station. from
this metro take a taxi to the park! walking to this
place is very hard becuase you have to climb on a
hill.
Favorite thing:
Visit Parc Güell - it is so beautiful! Take your time to walk around and look for the spiralled columns. Say hello to the little dragon on the first step near the entrance.
Fondest memory:
Sitting outside a street cafe under a blue sky, having a coffe and enjoying the view of La Segrada Familia - in January!
Favorite thing: Here is another view of Parc Guell and Gaudi's amazing buildings... Everywhere you looked there were strange buildings and creations... :)
Favorite thing: Parc Guell...it was interesting but a long way away from the Bus Turistic stop...if you go on that bus and think you can have a quick look, think otherwise... ;)
Favorite thing: Walk around the art side... in Parc Guell, famous for its odd-shaped buildings. Fantastic is a simple word to describe this site.
Favorite thing:
If you go to Guell park don't miss the roof.
You can see there the sea....
Some times in the morning there are concerts, the acoustic is fantastic.
