So far, Barcelona is the only place where graffiti is actually considered art and it is not considered to be a for of vandalism. There are many public walls that look like a canvases in a museum. Splendid!
The street performances you can watch in the central parts of Barcelona are very proffesional (many of them at least). On La Rambla you can find a lot but also the other big streets. I find it very nice just to stand still for a while and watch and interesting performance. If they are good enough, why not give them something for entertaining you!
All up and down La Rambla, you will find street performers. I actually found some of them amusing...in one day I saw Cleopatra, a bronze soldier, a dog dressed up like a clown, and and a kitten in a shopping cart. Okay, that last one went with a homeless guy, but seriously now....I kept pointing them out to my friend, but apparently the local thing to do is ignore them. Everyone just kept on walking by!
Well , Barcelona , just as any other big city has his street artist. You'll find most of them at the end of the ramblas. They are a real joy to watch and in the evening mostly little bands come here to play - sometimes with a professial instalation. Since the barcie are happy people they even like to dance..
I liked this artist. He is hilarious. He only makes a lot of noice and spins the dolls..
This is another picture taken at Las Ramblas, here you can see a musician with his small and very funny dressed dog!.
