We found this place because it was recomended to us by an great portuguese guy that served us at restaurant Les 4 Gats (Mario). L'ovella negra its a local students place to have a few drinks. We found it to be very nice because the only foreign people you see are the students from around the world that came to study in Barcelona. It´s truely a local place! We had ourselves the famous 2 litres pint! Very nice! The employes have their unique kind of anachist look style...! Great place!

The o'vella negra looks sort of like a tavern and is very casual inside although a lot of people may be dressed to go clubbing later. It is a great place to hang out with friends as well as meet people. You'll see a mix tourists, erasmus and american students and also a lot of catalan students. I would always go there for the cheap pitchers of sangria and beer, about 7-9 euro for a pitcher that you can share between 3 or 4 people. It is usually very busy on weekends and it could take 15 or 20 minutes to find a table.
Great bar. Cheap sangria, lots of foreigners from every side of the world. Perfect place to meet people if traveling alone. Has foozball tables, darts, music. It does seem a bit like a dungeon and is hidden in a side alley of of Ramlas.

Anything goes. No tuxes please
This place was recommended to us by our hostel's stuff. Even though it was located very near Las Ramblas, it was hard to find it - there were no neon signs or anything, just big black door in the wall.
When you enter in, you get immediately sense of a great atmosphere. The place is a bit misty and it has many chambers with tables and chairs.
The beers would have propably been cheap, but we decided to take sangria. A pint of sangria costs 2,2e, which is great deal. And best sangrias we had in Spain.
The place can be really crowded in the evening (we had difficulties to find sitting places).
Dress Code:
Casual, propably anything will go.
Located in a cave and filled with wooden tables and chairs, l'oveja negra (the black sheep) is a very animated and international bar mainly populated by backpackers and tourists. Try the sangria, it's excellent there !
Cool bar that looks small from the outside. It has an old look with stone walls, wooden butcher tables and posts. Sangria (the best I've had) comes in clay pitchers that leak, but that's what makes it cool. It is a great place to meet a bunch of friends before heading down the road to the Clubs.

very laid back, and a popular spot for college kids.
La Oveja Negra is the perfect place to have Sangria (a drink which is a mix of red wine, sugar and lemmon) and some fun!. There you can listen to music and eat some Tapas (Pintxos), a typical starter you can have while drinking litres of beer and chatting with good friends!!
Definetly the atmosphere, it's a rustic place, there are wooden floors, tables and seats and the service is really good.

You can dress as you like. It´s my tip for everywhere you go! Come as you are...
its a taverna rustica, located in a medeavel cellar. Its a big room, with wooden tables with candles on it. People can order a big jar with beer in it. (1.5 Liter)at a very reasonable price. The cellar is dark, the music is not loud and the atmosphere is very good! The pub itself describes L'Ovella Negra as: 'Para jóvenes estudiantes:
Un lugar frecuentado por estudiantes donde degustar grandes jarras de cerveza y sangría a un precio muy económico' (for young students: a plce frequented by students where you can have big jars of beer or sangria for a cheap price! )Of course, you can have that Sangria, but it's raether as if youre drinking lemonade and you will get drunk immediately after having had one or two of those jars!

causual: be yourself!
L'ovella negra ( means 'Black sheep!' in Catalan language)
Old industry full with wood tables. The perfect place if you're a beer lover.
