  • Standing on the corner of Carrer del Consell de Gent is the Modernist Casa Lleo Morera, built by Domenech i Montaner. It has Art Nouveau carving outside and cheerful lobby decorated with flower motifs.

  • The Palau de la Música is a building next to the Via Laietana which is often passed over by tourists because of its hidden location and for it's off the usual routes, and which has got an impressive architecture. Don't miss it!
    Nor contemplating a sunset from the castle of Montjuic. You'll see a perfect view of the entire city at the best hour of the day.
    For those who love alternative music, oldies, 80s, heavy metal, and generally not commercial music, near the Rambles you'll find the street Tallers (if not, another next to it) offers a lot of odd and peculiar music stores where u can find nearly all. There's another big music store nearby, at the Pelayo (Pelai) street.

    The Venue for our 1st PJ show was the spectacular Palau St. Jordi, which is at the very top of Montjuic. The building is beautiful, a work of art. It's got the shape of a dragon --St. Jordi's (George's) Dragon.

    There are some good architecture buildings (La Pedrera and more ) on Passeig de Gracia, built by Gaudi. Atleast get a view of them.

    This colourful 20 meter high Pop-Art construction from Roy Lichtenstein was completed in 1992 for the Summer Olympics. It is located between Marina Port Vell and Moll d'Espanya

    Roy Lichtenstein (1923 - 1997) was a prominent American pop artist, whose work borrowed heavily from popular advertising and comic book styles, which he himself described as being "as artificial as possible."

    Visitors often treat Avinguda Diagonal as a sort of wonder of urban planning that doesn't merit much attention. Not true!!! If you walk along the Diagonal through the Eixample (walk from about Monsèn Verdaguer towards the Esquerra) you can find all sorts of statues, fountains and architectural wonders that are not on a tourist guide map.     beautiful building of grand proportions housing customs and govt offices: you can still visit the lobby and they have a small customs museum inside, the surrounding view is magnificent and to look at the building is a highlight of little known Barcelona.
