Day Trip, Barcelona
Visit Andorra! Is a beautifull country in the mountains. Andorra means more than tax free. we ate here the best kus-kus of our life at Casa Ali.
Just get outside the town-center . Take the train for 15 mins. and just step outside and have a walk in the woods. Caldes the Malavella is a great place for a day-trip.
Flying from luton with easyjet, you pass over this range of mountains, shortly before arriving in Barcelona.
PALAMOS is a great Costa Brava town for spending vacation and actually for a day-trip to Barcelona. It's about 1 hour driving between the two.
During the summer I'd recommend to rent a car and go driving up to the coast.
Its amazing the landscape, the beaches...
Girona is a beautiful city to the north from Barcelona. It's divided by river on two parts: Old city and modern. Old city is alive and very well preserved.
Take some time to walk around and enjoy narrow streets, small gardens, Cathedral and medieval atmosphere.
Girona is known as a place from where Kabala was spreading in the West. Visit Girona's Call-the Jewish district and Museum of the history of the Jews in Catalonia.
TOSSA DE MAR
This major resort has a horseshoe shaped sand beach which extends round to the promontory on which stand the lighthouse and the 12C walls of the Old Town, the Vila Vella.
I don't think many people got to the places us geologists went. Here we all are on our last day of our last ever fieldtrip together back in 1997 - sob!
