This bar/restaurant is one among 3 or 4 tapa bars which is located in just about the same area where Cerveceria Catalana is located. To us as well as to our relatives, guests and friends or even acquaintances, their opinion is it is the best tasting tapas, montaditos, Galician style on octopus and even that yummy appetitive artichoke, it certainly is the winner amongst all bars/restaurants in Barcelona. It is normal for us to have our meals out at least 4 times or more a week and indeed anytime there is a newly opened bar/restaurant, we happen to be raising and try and see if it can compete with Cerverseria Catalana. Aside from their tapas, montaditos and their selected food happens to be the fastest serving and as cost of food, it is slightly higher about approximately 0.10- 0.20 cents in euros yet the croud till 1:30 in the morning does not reveal the added costs or mind a slightly higher price.
We had taken our guests as well as relatives to other tapa or montadito bar/restaurants, but non of which will equal the magnet of these place…it probably also has to do a lot with the environment and the system of this bar/restaurant serves like a speed stylish serving.
At least on each side of the long and opposite table/bar serving, you will notice at least there are 150 kinds of tapas, on one side you will notice the seafood and the opposite side of the table/bar tapas made of meat, veggies as well as the desserts. When it comes to beer, do try the clara which is a mixture of lemon and beer! Wow! Try it during a hot summer day and it can refresh you as well as your mind, it’s so soothing and so refreshing.
Below are some of our favourites:
Favorite Dish: Solo Mio with green pepper, various tortillias, stuffed bell peppers, those large fresh clams with sprinkled fresh lemons, bacalao (these are those salt cod with mashed potatoes, fava beans with mushrooms, moorish zucchini salad, deep friend boquerrones, gazpacho, their black paella as well as their normal paella which is served during lunch hours on Thursdays, the way they cook and prepare the ZARZUELA, (Catalan fish stew) it's just super good you owe to taste it at least, gambas al pimenton (paprika shrimp). Then let's not forget to finish your meals with the typical dessert, Catalan burned cream (Crema Catalana). It's easy and fun also to prepare Crema Catalana.

That was amazing, I came here with a group of colleagues and I simply have had the best tapas I had ever eaten! Highly recommended!!
The place was packed but the waiter were still quite friendly...Definitely A great memory, if I ever go back to Barcelona, that will for sure be in a very good position on my todo list.

The name can be translated as the 'Catalan Beerhouse' - reason being that you will be able to enjoy many different local and international beers here (with fantastic tapas).
It is quite a big restaurant/bar and very popular. The bar is only about 100m from the hotel where I stayed - and I never saw this place not packed.
Service is good and friendly! (and quick!)
Favorite Dish: Everything we had!

Cerveseria Catalana was opened several years ago with almost no money by an ambitious guy, now this place is extremely popular and he has about 6 restaurants in Barcelona. It is a touristic place unfortunately, but still you can see some spaniards there as well. They serve tapas, flautas (some kind of sandwich), salads and small dishes. We had gambas, mushrooms, patatas bravas, goat`s cheese, octopus...everything was really good. Crema catalan looked very tempting as well, haven`t tried it though. They have a huge choice of international beers. The bad part about this tapas bar is, that you can`t make any reservation. Only if you are already there, they write down your name and you can expect to wait about an hour to get a table (at least at weekends). You won`t get bored though, just get yourself a drink, outside are standing loads of people drinking and smoking and you can do some people watching in your waiting time :). Tapas cost about 4 EUR each. It is also a very noisy place, it is probably not the right location for a romantic dinner à deux :).

We liked this place a lot: friendly atmosphere, friendly waiters (especially kind in entertaining our baby son while we had dinner!), good food, reasonable price
Favorite Dish: we had an amazing crema catalana. It was the best we tasted in Barcelona

Quickly you may have small portions of all kind of delicious food. In spite of that not any fast-food place!
If you do not affor to go inside, just before the cervezeria is a well you may have water free!
Besides beer, you may have cava, too.
Favorite Dish: All kind of delicates for small hunger in the late hours. And drinks, Cava too.

This is a very pretty restaurant, it's a bit more elegant than the common ones..The typical TAPAS with new creations are available..you can choose food from the buffet and order for your table..nice athmosphere, you can choose your table from inside or outside..kind staff...
The food is good, great variety..You can find things to eat at every price..So, worth to try it. Great variety of beers..Cerveceria means beer place by the way...
Only bad point is that here is very popular and there is always people waiting outside..so better to go early:)
Favorite Dish: Tapassssssss!!!and Montaditos...montadito: toasted bread with different things on it...like a little pizza.. salad ones are very light..also chicken salad is interesting..
