You'll not believe you're in Barcelona, it's like a countryside old "taverna". When you enter this very old local, you'll first find large barrels of local wine. Ask the waiter to arrange a table for you, and in the meanwhile you can help yourself and take a glass of your favorite wine to drink before dinner, at the tables at the entrance. Later, enter the main room, wooden old tables and walls decorated with rare objects, farming equipment old stuff. There you'll enjoy basic typical dishes as grilled meats or "butifarra amb mongetes" (local sausage with beans, my favorite, but quite heavy at night!). Not haute cuisine at all, only simple dishes, but prices are more than reasonable and the atmosphere is worth it. I loved this Restaurant from the moment I set foot on their door! The place is just fabolous! The food was really good. The atmosphere is really nice!!! Bottles of wine are comparatively cheap, as well!
If you want to experience authentic catalan cuisine, I highly recommend this place!
I had the pork loin with encillada (aubergines and tomato, etc) on the side, and it was gorgeous. It was cooked just right and very tender. My partner had the lamb and he enjoyed it (even though he doesn't usually eat lamb...).
We had sweets after that and I had the choc mousse which is fab because it just melts in your mouth and not sickly sweet. We also tried the pear cake or something like that, which was also very tasty.
I recommend ordering bottle (if not bottles) of wine when dining as they are quite cheap! Or you can try their own wine.
