The best thing is that they are so near downtown. This makes it easy to make a morning walk on the beach and then spend the rest of the day sightseeing. Perfect for someone not that keen on beaches.
Beaches were quite busy in August when I went to Barcelona.
I tried some of the beaches like Barceloneta, San Sebastian, Nova Icaria.
boy a boogie board and jump to the waves!
have fun all day and enjoy in the wind at the seas and the waves
have a coffe at the beach bar and listen to great music
A part from Barcelona beach. Here I remained without money and I was looking to the last coins. A beautiful remember from that day.
The city has won back the Seaside. The start of it were the Olympics in 1992 and it was done a lot to make this area more attractive. I only do not agree with the Rambla de Mar...
a wonderfull sunset and a cloudy day alouds gorgeous color pics!
mine is on black and white...
for sure is not the same..!
but i let you judge it...
The beach was a great place to go to relax, apart from the hassling from hawkers. The water was nice and it never got too crowded.
Thousands of people dock their boats in Barcelona-it's quite a sight. I tried to dock my dinghy there, but was turned down. Boy, these people have class! :-)
The harbour is one of the newest parts of Barcelona. You can enjoy the seebreeze on a hot summerday.
You will find a huge shoppingcenter at the harbour. It seemed a little deserted to me.
Especially known to young people for party after the examination periods. It´s totally crowded: spending 2 days there was more than enough. The beach is overcrowded: better watch where you walk.
.. and this continuous bench made out of a mosaic of tiny pieces of tile (still in parc guell)... so beautiful..
A few of the must sees in Barcelona : La Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila, Arch of Triumph, Olympic Stadium, Park Guell, Port Vell and the Beach next to it.
