La Pedrera is my favorite Gaudi house. The rooftop is just amazing.
There is a good museum in the building as well explaining the architectual side of the building, which is very amazing.

    Roof of La Pedrera

The entrance to public wanting to visit the roof is on the side of the building. At 8 Euros it's expensive but impressive enough to be worth the price.

    Casa Mil/La Pedrera

This Gaudi building features medieval knights guarding the roof which cleverly disguise vents and ducts.

A large cue surrounds the building most days so we did not have a chance to enter.

    Stairs at Casa Mil

Like in the rest of the building, hardly any straight lines can be found here. This entire space is created using organic forms.

A visit to the roof is a must (I believe it cost 7 euros), not only for the magnificent architecture but also for the views. I took a photo of La Sagrada Familia from up here.

    Rooftop detail; La Pedrera-L'Eixample

Gaudi had a thing with chimneys. Ornately sculpted and decorated, some of these chimneys almost take on personality. Some of the more famous "faces" in his architecture.

    Casa Mila windows

He followed the classic Roman design of the living space centering around a courtyard, to allow maximum light to all rooms, but maintaining his distinct organic style.

    Rooftop of Casa Mila

An other detail of the unbelievable chimneys on the roof of Casa Mila. It's a great place to hang around for a while in Barcelona - the details look best in a late afternoon light.

Don't miss the roof. It looks pretty weird but there are some great views down to the city.
