Plaça d'Espanya, Barcelona
Placa de Espanya is the central point for the Plaza de Toros and also the walkway to Font Màgica de Montjuïc.
A large bronze and marble statue designed by Miquel Blay, one of Gaudi's students, sits in the middle of this roundabout. It was unveiled in 1929 for the Universal Exposition.
Right in the middle of Plaça Espanya a big fountain is placed. It was constructed by Josep Maria Jujol, who was a student from Gaudí. The sculptures are made by Miquel Blay.
If you only have few days to spend in Barcelona,I would strongly recommend to start your tour at Plaza d'Espana. This Square is near to Muntjuic which is situated at the top ofa mountain.
