In Girona : good Btt centers and every year new bicycle roads are opened. Try: Girona-Olot, Girona-Sant Feliu de Guixols, Banyoles Btt center, etc. Note: not so prepared -and a little dangerous- if you compare with Germany and Holland. Very nice landscapes. Better season: spring and autumm.

Another good option to visit the city is by bike! Yes, of course. There are different companies in the city to rent a bicycle.
Aralcar is called this company that is located in La Rambla number 58, Ent. 1ยช and offers 50 km of bike road at your service.
One day cost about 1000 pesetas and full day 1.500. If you need it all the week about 6.000 pesetas. More info? 93/301.63.77
There are guides if you need it! Special routes around the city!

I arrived in Barcelona by plane and took the train into the City. I left by train from Barcelona Sans. All very convenient.
The best way to see the city is to walk, in my opinion, but if you're going from one extreme point to the other, or you're about to drop, take the Metro - it covers the city pretty well. There are also tons of buses that cover areas not reached by the subway. There are bus maps at most bus stops so you can find where you're going.
