Despite Barcelona being a bicycle-friendly city, it's very difficult to find transport that will let you take a bike onboard. When I decided to leave Barcelona I wanted to get to France, preferably up to Avignon, but none of the coach services would let my bike onboard, and the train station, França, was the same. In the end, the only place that would allow bicycles was the train station, Sants, though that only went as far north as the French border, not into France itself. Still, it seems to be your only safe bet for getting your bicycle onboard public transport, but if there is an alternative option I'd love to know! We were a bit daunted at first, but once you get the hang of it, the Metro is a really cheap and extremely easy way to get around Barcelona, we used it nearly every day, ad it made the trip much more pleasant. Leave a Comment Theme: Subway/MetroWebsite: http://www.renfe.es/
