In a nutshell
So very unspoilt - it's beautiful

Visit Barcelona!
We booked an excursion with our tour company. We set off at around 9am in the morning and headed to Barcelona! Firstly we went to the Sagrada Familia then to the Picasso gallery, they were both truly amazing. Then we went to the Barcelona Football stadium where we had a look around and had photo opportunities. We then went into the city for lunch at a Spanish restaurant which was beautiful....but I can't remember the name of it!! The tour guide then lets us go our own way for a couple of hours for shopping etc. The shopping is amazing and the espadrilles shop is lovely, you get them made for you! After we returned to the bus and went to the palace of King Juan Carlos II which was lovely and then up to the Barcelona fountain.....WHICH I NEARLY FELL INTO! Overall I brilliant excursion!!

We did not eat at this restaurant as A/I, but the food they served looked very good.
On the sat night it was busy with the local people. They also do curries.
They have a Parrot and the owner said it was 55 years old? This bird is quite smart.
They sell beer for 1 euro a pint and is next door to the H Top Olympic Hotel

British Pub: The Alcatraz
juliesway Says:
The Alcatraz is owned/operated by John Evans, a real character ~ his staff are very helpful (sometimes to the point of being 'too'). I honestly believe this is the best pub in Calella. I have been to the others mentioned within these reviews and Alcatraz is THE best one of...

This nightclub is amazing!I went every single night because of the atmosphere, the people and the music. There are two different sections. The first room has the square bar in the middle with a dance floor at the back which plays cheesy pop, 60s, 70s, and 80s music. Plays...
The beach....a drop in the ocean, thats for sure!
The beach at Calella doesn't gently shelve ooo no, it is flat for a bit and then suddenly there is a big drop and your into deep water!! Be warned! You can drown very easy! Another point to make is the traffic at the beach, when I was there you could drive onto the beach which can be dangerous especially if you have children!

Nice Cove

This cove is oposite the camp site and there are steps leading down to it. There is a bar also on the beach and is popular with the local people. There is a small car park also. You walk past the lighthouse and just before the camp site.
Aim high for a view
le_bod Says:
take a short walk south, out of Calella and look for a sweeping road off to the right. Take this turn and then follow the footpath through the pines and up a slight gradient. As you climb, the view of the coast spreads out before you. At the top, turn round and look at the...
Beaches near St Pol de Mar
jamiema Says:
Calella's main stretch of sand can get very busy and crowded with tourists of all nationalities in the summer months, and this can often render it a little dirty, noisy and generally not very relaxing. If you want to get away from this then I suggest taking a walk away...
