The road from Empuriès to L'escala was renovated in 1992 when the Olympic flame was lighted at the pier of Empuriès. While you skate along the paved road, you will pass some beautifull picturesque bays at your left and the ruins of the old archeological site at your right. No cars allowed !
PS: of course walking is also a great alternative

The ruins of the Greek town of Neapolis as well as the successive Roman site of Municipium Eporiae lie on the coast just outside Empuries. A large site, the Greek portion has been excavated & some of the Roman site which is beside it on the hill.
As you walk around, look down. You are walking on the building materials of 2 civilizations.
