This restaurant is great if you're looking to spend a little more on a nice meal. Most of the meals are around 20 Euros, give or take a few. We followed some advice in Frommer's and went to Emporda' for lunch. From the outside it looks like an average hotel, but the dining room is beautiful. The service was the quality you would expect at a nice restaurant. When we made a poor choice in wine, the waiter recommended another, which was considerably cheaper too. The menu included a lot of seafood, which we enjoyed quite a bit. They also offerred a dessert platter, in which they let you sample most of the desserts - all of which are delicious!
Favorite Dish: One of our favorites was the croquettes marisco (seafood) for a first entree. The dessert platter was also a pleasant surprise at the end of the meal.

a strange town... salvador dali's birthplace - and final resting place. Figueres is a sleepy town with a buzzing museum, which is a peculiar combination. Definitely worth a visit or day-trip.
