On top of La Rambla there’s a square with some café and restaurants. They have outdoor seating so it was great that sunny day to stop for a while and enjoy a couple of beers.
But then we saw the typical in so many places in Spain sign that was advertizing their Plat del dia… this time it was something like paella but with pasta,,,, we felt disappointed… we didnt complain but for 5.80euro we should expect it...
They have about a dozen of different tapas also (from 1,50 to 5,80e) so we took some patatas bravas (3.45e) just for our beer.
San Miguel bottle beer costs 2.05e while cana beer 1.50e.
They serve coffee of course (1,20-1,55e), chocolate (2,80e), cacao (2,30e), tea (1,55e) and soft drinks.
There are really excellent food. Long list for beers. Waiters very professional
Highly recommendable tapasbar. Spotlessly clean, most friendly and helpful staff (perfect English ), excellent tapas (lacon a feira, cheese, chorizo....
5 minutes from Dali museum.
The list of beers was incredible...
Quality/Price... very nice
Favorite Dish: Lacon a Feira... It´s a local type of meet with salt, olive oil and pepper
Ok, it was expected that all those cafés near Dali museum have nothing to offer except high prices for so and so quality. But we just stopped here for a coffee and a small natural orange juice (2,45e).
The tables on the square are ideal for watching other tourists passing by on their way to/from Dali museum.
They serve soft drinks (2,10e), draft beer (1,95-4,50e), bottled beer (2,35-3e), long drinks and some light snacks but we didn’t try any.
This restaurant is great if you're looking to spend a little more on a nice meal. Most of the meals are around 20 Euros, give or take a few. We followed some advice in Frommer's and went to Emporda' for lunch. From the outside it looks like an average hotel, but the dining room is beautiful. The service was the quality you would expect at a nice restaurant. When we made a poor choice in wine, the waiter recommended another, which was considerably cheaper too. The menu included a lot of seafood, which we enjoyed quite a bit. They also offerred a dessert platter, in which they let you sample most of the desserts - all of which are delicious!
Favorite Dish: One of our favorites was the croquettes marisco (seafood) for a first entree. The dessert platter was also a pleasant surprise at the end of the meal.
It is a calid place, with good ambient. We went twice, and at night is crowed. The food is very interesting. They have diferent tapas to another places but really well done.
It is a familiar place, we liked it a lot
Favorite Dish: Lacon a Feira
