The Farmers' Market in Blanes is a real local market popular for its fresh fruit and vegetables supplied by the farmers from Blanes and the surrounding area. The market is open mornings only Monday through to Saturday. We did see lots of fields of vegetables growing on the farms during our train trip to Calella.
What to buy: Maybe our hotel should shop here for some decent greens - the choice was amazing on both fruits and vegetables. Spices and fresh cut flowers were also on sale and the aroma of this mix was wonderful. Prices were very cheap because there is no hidden cost in packaging or marketing just honest to goodness fresh food. I did buy some peaches and pears for outdoor munching these were just a few euros.
The area surrounding the beach is infested with small shops selling (in my opinion) cheesy touristy items.. if that is what you are into.. a great place for you to visit!!
What to buy: You can buy anything from food and alcohol to shirts, postcards, shoes, purses.. anything and everything you want.. you can probably find it!!
What to pay: The prices are fairly cheap.. depending on what you are looking for!
Along the seacoast from the central street to the eastern direction is the street of shops. There you can find everything you need in a tourist town: swim suits, bijouterie, souvenirs and other stuff.
What to buy: However, you must be careful when you choosing all this things because the quality is low.
