hi there emma
we are off to LLoret de Mar ( next town) on 14th -20th - we were up that way a couple of years ago and from what we saw yes its probably like blackpool in the sun during th summer months but as that coast more or less shuts down during the last week of october there may not be much still left open we found it ok for us - ( 40+) the markets stay open and the transport is usually OK - the weather was OK last time we were there about 20-23 all week with just one bad shower of rain we got caught in - but by the time we reached our hotel we had dried off again - not sure about any typically spanish/castellan restuarants as we went HB last time and ate in the hotel - i like to experience the local traditions too but this time we are both so exhausted all we intend doing is sitting reading around the pool - weather permitting - if not the hotel bar will do - you can always make a day into Barcelona for some culture time- about an hour on the train which runs through Malgrat fairly regularly throughout the day.
i really can't understand why people go abroad and expect nothing but english "fayre" - if thats what they want the should go to butlins IMHO
I hope you enjoy your time in Malgrat - whatever you enjoy doing
The only internetcafe i found at Malgrat, address:
Paseo Maritimo, 40
08380 Malgrat de Mar
when coming from the centre u walk the boulevard down then i think it was the 4ht. street on the right.
Fondest memory: Opening hours: 17-01hr.
